Webrecs DIY - Do It Yourself
Build your own !
Webrecs DIY is for use by technically-experienced users who want to craft their own ECM solution. We provide you all the functionality as described in Webrecs Business, however in addition you also get access to the internals of the system for you to customise to your own requirements.
Webrecs bases its solutions on a Linux version of the leading Open Source Alfresco ECM system - which in turn is based on the technologies of Tomcat, Java, Javscript, JSP, XML, JSF , Spring and Hibernate to name a few. You will need skills in some or all of these , depending on the extent to which you wish to customise the base system. See some of the changes we have done to the standard Alfresco product and environment to tailor it to our users.
Of course Webrecs are happy to provide consulting services to fast-track your project.

Next steps
1. Need more information ?
Check out the glossary, FAQ and Webrecs Wiki where you can get most of your questions answered as well as access to online demos. And if you still have questions, please
2. Choose your plan
Upgrade any time. The plans come in sizes of :
- Small - Use this as your development server for up to 3 developers, or a production server where you are importing up to 100 pages per day and have a maximum of 5 concurrent users
- Medium - Use this as your development server for up to 5 developers, or a production server where you are importing up to 500 pages per day (that's a ream of paper ) and have a maximum of 10 concurrent users
- Large - Use this as your development server for up to 10 developers, or a production server where you are importing up to 1000 documents per day and have a maximum of 15 concurrent users
- For unusual requirements or larger systems please
Important : This is a guideline only. Activity levels, usage profiles, document sizes and allocation of customer space all vary widely from company to company. Bear in mind that you can upgrade at any time from your control panel.
3. Determine your cost
Pricing varies according to size - larger means more resources (computing power, memory, disk space) at your disposal and hence more expensive. The table below shows the cost and resource allocation.
