Onsite Scanning
You can either scan your documents yourself (with or without our help) or have us come and do it for you.
Why onsite ?
Onsite scanning (or scanning at your premises) is often useful under the following circumstances :
- Backlog scanning - you have a backlog of paper documents or filing cabinets which you want to get out the way with minimal fuss. You do not have the personnel or time to sort and batch the documents.
- Highly sensitive documents - although our offsite scanning service uses a high security pickup and return courier with binding confidentiality agreements signed by all parties who handle the paper, some customers feel more comfortable if the paper documents do not leave the building
If you do it for me ...
How does it work ?
We provide this service on a time-and-materials basis - you pay by the hour for 2 trained operators to perform the document-preparation, scanning and indexing tasks you need. We provide the scanner and indexing materials. You need to provide an area of around 5 square metres where the operators can perform their tasks unhindered. The service needs to be booked in advance - typically 2-4 weeks. On completion of scanning and indexing you are required to perfom a validation of the job to make sure you are satisfied. Once accepted the documents become accessible through your Webrecs repository.
How much does it cost ?
The costs of the service is $250 per hour, during which time you can expect our operators to get through around 1000 A4 pages (depending heavily on the indexing, document preparation and data-correction requirements ) . Read about how scanning time and costs are broken down .
